The preferences dialog can be opened by clicking Preferences under the Edit menu.
Display Tab
The Display tab contains the following settings:
- Icon Theme
- Allows user to override the FreeDesktop theme for the TealFiler application
Behavior Tab
The Behavior tab contains the following settings:
- Default Terminal
- Which terminal application to use for Open Terminal Here under File Menu → Open Terminal Here
- Drop Default Action
- Which action to perform when dragging and dropping an item.
- Move: Cuts the item from the original location.
- Copy: Copies the item from the original location.
- Ask: Prompt user for choice each time.
Advanced Tab
The Advanced tab contains the following settings:
- Trash Action
- Keep restore path
- When moving an item to the trash, this will keep information about the previous file location
- Redact Restore Path
- When moving an item to the trash, this will redact the previous file location for privacy.
Shortcuts Tab
The Shortcuts tab lists all of the keyboard shortcuts for the application.
